About us:
Our mission is to support healthy eating and active living in low
income communities through provider leadership, client
empowerment, and vigorous support for better Food Stamp Nutrition
Education. We accomplish our mission through
Administrative advocacy with state and federal funding agencies to
improve procedures and practices related to Food Stamp Nutrition
Education operations,
Facilitating peer support and grassroots leadership development to
improve program quality and integrity,
Development of projects and initiatives to complement and enhance
existing programs,
Training, technical assistance and improved communication
between and among the state agency and local projects, and
Policy advocacy for the communities we serve.

What's New? CAN-Act is working to make SNAP-Ed a more effective and efficient publicly funded program.
